Susan Bowman is a retired Episcopal priest, published author, home-based travel consultant, and internet entrepreneur.
Rev. Susan B Bowman

Susan Bowman founded SB Unlimited in 2005 with her first online venture, an online gift shop named Trinity Marketplace. After a year with a bricks-and-mortar store in a very small town, Trinity Marketplace was abandoned and Bowman, now retired from active parish ministry, returned to the secular working world as a Customer Service/Travel Consultant for AAA in Albany NY.

Her dream of owning a successful online business was not dead, however, and she re-surfaced in 2008 with a new blog to promote her memoir, which she began writing in 2007. LadyFather.com was born, friends and family subscribed, and Bowman dived into her memoir with a new gusto. Finally completed in February 2011, “Lady Father” was published by Aberdeen Press in May, 2011, Bowman embarked on a book tour through Virginia, where she was born, raised, and ordained. Her blog has blossomed into an online blog/gift store where fans can purchase her book and religious gifts and spiritual helps.

In 2010, Bowman left the “outside-the-home” work force and became a home-based entrepreneur. She has created a number of websites reflecting her many interests and has become a home-based travel consultant as a result of her love for travel, maps, trips, planning and routing road trips, and helping other people plan their trips and vacations. She can be found in her home office just about any time, working on one website or another, planning marketing events for her book, reading travel books or attending webinars about group travel and vacation packages, and answering one of her three phones.

Bowman is a member of Cambridge Who’s Who, the National Association of the Self-Employed, the National Association of Writers and Editors, and is currently featured in the Alumni Gazette of the College of William and Mary, from which she received a BA Degree in 1969. She will be appearing in several venues at her seminary alma mater, The School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, TN during the DuBose Lectures the last week in October.

Named “Gabba” by her grandchildren, Susan Bowman is an avid grandmother, spending as much time as she can with her teen-aged grandson and her pre-teen granddaughter, both of whom are fast approaching the magic moment when they will look at their grandparents and parents and say, “Hunh?” She cherishes every moment with her family and her small congregation of faithful United Methodists in White Creek, New York where she serves as part-time Pastor.
