A business owner in the IT world since 1997, David holdsa dynamic role at Seven Group with a focus on operational excellence. He believes in building business process enabling the delivery of the best possible customer experience. His strengths are in problem solving and creative thinking.
David has worked every operational aspect of Seven Group business throughout the years. His Major in Accounting from UBC, along with further studies in Management Information Services, has given him the knowledge to understand the full accounting cycle and the skills to oversee the daily operations of the company. He works closely with the Inside Sales Team who support the Account Managers with timely accurate quotes and configurations. Seven Group has always believed that thier vendors and distributors are thier partners and David has subsequently treated them as such. He works closely with these partners on building relationships both deep and wide. Seven Groups Professional Services team is the best in the industry. Currently David assists the PS Manager in keeping the team busy and current in all the latest technologies. David also works together with the Marketing coordinator ensuring the Seven Group message is clear. Recently he has taken a supporting role in the business development of the Seven Group Hosting offering.
Statements like “it can’t be done” are part of what drive David to promote and instill an excellence-of-service attitude at Seven Group. “Customer Service” is a frequently used, but seldom honored phrase that he takes seriously. He takes pride in solving problems that seem to be unsolvable at every level within Seven Group. David is always looking for a way to improve a process or streamline a system that will benefit Seven Group customers. Creative thinking allows David to actualize alternative solutions to many of the daily challenges that occur in business.
Taking the time from working “in the business” so he can work “on the business” has been key to David's success at Seven Group. Being able to step back and take a look at what the company is currently doing, and to learn to anticipate what the customer might need, has been invaluable. David's commitment to be the best possible business partner has given Seven Group a considerable edge.
David looks forward to raising the standard for customer service, and continuing to surprise and delight clients and vendors by going the extra mile on their behalf, whenever possible.
