Traci is the author of the acclaimed memoir "Nowhere Near Normal." Her work has been published by The Southern Review, NPR, The Nervous Breakdown, Emry’s Journal, and Role Reboot, among others. She is currently working on her second book, "Love and Xanax." She once auditioned for “Don’t Forget the Lyrics,” answering every question correctly and beating seven contenders, but she never heard back from the show’s producers. She worked for the Salvation Army’s Central California Citadel, and volunteered for Toys for Tots and the San Francisco Clean Needle and AIDS Awareness programs. She is dedicated to LGBT rights and helping the homeless. A mother of four boys, she was born and raised in the Bay Area where she was once a member of a graffiti gang until a run in with the manager of a local Taco Bell ended her street art career. She lives in Southern California where her love of bacon and cigarettes is frowned upon. She would try yoga if she could find classes that start after 10pm.
