He has worked for Stray FM, BBC Radio Oxford, Global Radio 1, Global City Radio, Radio Rayna, Geminilive365, Signal, Choice FM to name a few.

In 1994 the former comic with a talent for mimicry started working with Voice Over Coach, Musician and BBC TV Presenter - Michael Groth who brought discipline to his creative energies.They also formed a potent production partnership producing a raft of radio ads including the award nominated 'Your Future Your Call' campaign written and produced by Hannah , edited and directed by Groth. The pair went on to produce short audio dramas, training materials and even complete major voice castings for the mighty Rank Group.

As a Producer, Hannah has been prolific but he first brought his 'audio magazine style' to online radio with the first iteration of this show on USA Live365 in 2006, on Global Radio 1 in 2007, then Global City radio in 2009. In 2014 after a two year break he brought back the current format of the show specially for UK Ex Pats and the UK market after moving to the West Coast of Ireland. All in all the quirky, versatile voice of Richard J Hannah hasseen him work across TV, Radio and even major events.
