David Traylor is a lifelong resident of Texas. He is a proud alumnus of the Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, attending both Southern Methodist University and The University of Texas at Dallas before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance at UTD. He immediately continued studies at the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University earning a Juris Doctor of Law.

Between semesters of law school, Mr. Traylor lived and worked in Honolulu, Hawaii where he had been selected to serve the State of Hawaii for each of two summers, first in their Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Office of Consumer Protection, and then with the Office of the Attorney General, Tort Litigation Division. Both positions provided a great deal of practical experience in a wide array of legal matters.

In his final year of law school, Mr. Traylor was selected to serve as a student lawyer in the school’s esteemed Criminal Defense Clinic program. Working at the Frank Crowley Courthouse under the direction of the program’s experienced Criminal Defense teaching attorneys, he served clients who were unable to afford counsel, exposing him to the rewards of helping those who had been arrested and charged with crimes to put their pressing legal troubles behind them and return to their lives.

Immediately upon graduation, Mr. Traylor passed the Texas Bar Exam becoming licensed to practice in all Texas Courts. Less than a year later, he was recommended for practice in all Federal Courts in the Northern District of Texas. In response to numerous requests from friends and acquaintances for legal assistance, Mr. Traylor opened his own practice in Dallas. Since founding the practice, The Traylor Law Firm has come to focus exclusively on Traffic Ticket Representation, Lifting of Warrants, Jail Release and Criminal Defense of both Felonies and Misdemeanors.
