“ Veteran investigator with 40+ years’ experience in private investigation, loss prevention, surveillance, and data intelligence. Founder of Trew Analytics, delivering data-driven, legally defensible insights to law firms, corporations, and investigators. ”
With over four decades in investigation and security, Brad Trew has established a proven record of precision, leadership, and results across Canada and the United States.
He began his career amid high-risk labour disputes, developing early expertise in conflict resolution and behavioural analysis under intense, real-world conditions. He went on to build a distinguished 17-year career in transportation and logistics security, rising to Regional Loss Prevention Manager for Western Canada and the Northwestern U.S. In that role, he directed investigations involving large-scale theft, corporate fraud, and cargo integrity, protecting millions in assets and refining systems that reduced loss across international supply chains.
A renowned specialist in OSINT, SOCMINT, GEOINT, and HUMINT, Brad integrates traditional investigative methods with advanced intelligence analysis to reveal hidden connections and patterns others overlook. An expert interviewer and surveillance instructor, Brad has conducted and overseen hundreds of successful interviews and interrogations. He co-published The Art of Shadowing with Toronto Police surveillance specialist Hal Cunningham, a respected field guide on investigative observation and covert methodology. His work has included multi-jurisdictional, corporate, and criminal investigations, combining technical insight with a grounded, evidence-based approach that stands up under legal scrutiny.
Through Trew Analytics, Brad now applies this depth of experience to deliver data-driven, defensible intelligence solutions for law firms, corporations, and investigative partners.
