Napoleon T. Butic – Founder and CEO – Mr. Butic joined the payment card industry in 2012 after over a decade of working in finance, most of which was spent in the hedge fund industry in New York City. His last position was Director of Manager Services for Channel Capital Group, Inc in the HedgeFund.net division, before the company was sold by owner Guggenheim Partners. His focus was on marketing hedge fund managers to institutional and high net worth investors, with a focus on emerging and start up managers.

As a native Houstonian, he looked for an entrepreneurial angle to participate in the current economic boom. He found that the payment system industry offered great opportunity for those looking to provide the right mix of creativity, service, and relationship management. Mr. Butic marketed and sold services for multiple processors as an independent agent. Subsequent to narrowing his list of preferred partners, he felt it was time to consolidate the brands under one local banner.

In January 2014, he founded Trout Payment Systems with the belief that the only way to acquire customers for life, is to deliver a highly reliable service at a reasonable price.

Mr. Butic graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000 with a BBA, majored in finance, minored in philosophy, and is a board member with the Houston area Texas Exes. He trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo at Revolution Dojo and enjoys fishing for trout in the Gulf of Mexico.
