Mr. Smith has been awarded the President’s Leadership Award and has been recognized by the United States Association of Former Members of Congress and recognized on the floor of the United States House of Representatives, having been awarded the National Leadership Award. He has received numerous other awards including the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Amateur Athletic Union. He has Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from The University of Central Florida.
