Having learnt the trade from a young age at one of the country's most prestigious jewellers, David has gained the coveted Professional Jewellers' Gemstone Diploma and continues to study gemmology with The Gemmological Association of Great Britain, with a view to applying for Fellowship of the association very soon.

David re-joined his father, John, at W.E. Clark in 2000, when the jewellery shop in Lewes was hit by a flood. Both professional jewellers and business men, David and John relished the opportunity to raise the business from this disaster, and have since developed W.E. Clark & Son into one of the foremost jewellers in the South of the UK.
