Lucas began his career in the financial world in 1991 as a graduate trainee for NatWest initially in a branch in London and then moving to the corporate side of things in the City of London. He joined company in 1999, initially as an advisor with regard to IPOs and global privatisation.

Since then he has held the positions of Head of Equity, Deputy Head of Debt Capital Markets and finally being appointed to the Deputy Head of Global Finance for both Whitesands Capital’s Corporate and Investment Banking division in 2008. In addition he was a member of Whitesands Capital’s Corporate and Investment Banking’s Executive Committee. Lucas was appointed Head of Whitesands Capital in 2011.

Lucas Drebbel holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from the Lyon Business Management School and is a graduate of the Bordeaux Management School.
