A graduate of the renowned, California Institute of the Arts Character Animation program, Michael “Ffish” Hemschoot is a 16-year veteran of the Animation and Visual Effects industry. His work has been seen in some of the top Hollywood films of the past two decades, including two recipients of the Academy Award for Visual Effects Achievement.

While currently, Michael is best known for his abilities as an Animation Director and Live Action Filmmaker, his experience and expertise extends to many facets of Visual Effects, including: Previsualization, Compositing, Effects Technical Direction, and Visual Effects Supervision. He has also developed a passion for sharing his skills and experience with the next generation of digital artists as a college level Animation Instructor.

In his career, Michael has worked on projects for such world-class feature film companies as: Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, Disney, and Paramount, to name a few. He has also been a key contributor to many commercial projects for notable international companies such as: Nintendo, AstraZeneca, Nissan, Elanco, UCC Coffee, Delta Dental, and Haben.
