Tim-YAG
He combines his extensive experience as a superyacht captain with the knowledge of organizational processes and senior leadership skills which come from 12 years working with a leading wireless service provider. Tim's time as a captain has seen him complete two and a half circumnavigations and visit parts of the globe as disparate as Antarctica, the Arctic and the remote reaches of the Asia-Pacific region giving him valuable insight into the challenges facing different coastal communities.

Tim and YachtAid Global founder, Mark Drewelow have enjoyed a collaborative friendship for over nine years. The friendship was born when Tim phoned Mark from Komodo, Indonesia, asking if Mark wanted to partner on building a fence around the Komodo Island School - to keep Komodo Dragons from attacking young children. With such an impactful first project, it's easy to see why Tim was hooked on changing the world without changing course, and since then he's initiated and executed many humanitarian projects across the world in collaboration with Mark.

Alongside his work with YachtAid Global facilitating the delivery of supplies and disaster relief aid around the world, he also mentors young adults through Captain Tim’s 'Do What You Love' motivational leadership talks, as well as carries out delivery and demonstration of using Clean Drinking Water filter kits.

In April of 2017 Tim was awarded the YachtAid Global Humanitarian Award and soon after, left his post on VIVID to concentrate full time on furthering YachtAid Global's work.
